SF TRIP QUESTIONS
We will be staying at the Comfort Inn by the Bay in Fisherman's Wharf area. What's the best way to get to Oakland A's game using public transportation? Also, are the Grayline bus tours of SF worth it, was thinking about doing the city deluxe tour as we have no car - will only be there 2 days before we head to Yosemite. Thanks.

To get to the A's game, I would take the F-Line streetcar from the FW area to Embarcadero and Market streets, then take BART to Oakland. BART is a subway system in SF that goes under the bay and then runs above ground on the other side. It has a station right near the ball park.
As for the tour, I've never done it, but SF is easily done on foot and with public transportation so being without a car in SF is not a liability. In fact, you are probably better off without one because parking can be expensive.

BART will take you to the Coliseum station from 4 downtown stops on Market Street.
To get to Market Street you'll need a bus. I don't know where your hotel is, so it may be any of the lines: F, as J-Correa said, or 19, 30, 45, 10, 15 - any of those to BART.

WE did the delux tour and not the motorised trolly so I can't compare. We enjoyed the bus tour that includes going to the overlook high above the city (do not think the trolly goes there) and across the GG Bridge. Have a feeling that the tour depends on who is your driver. Ours was good.
As to the Giants game, you might want to consider going to the stadium during a game. You can walk around back and see McCovey Cove and there is a place where you can look into the ballpark for free. We also watched the final inning inside the park. You figure it out.
