SF Giants stadium
Hoping to buy SF Giants tix for a May 29 1:05 p.m. game and read recommendations here for the view boxes. The site map doesn't indicate north, south, etc. and I am concerned about having seats that face the sun. Can anyone help? Plan to buy online the day they are available and will pack a sweater.

SBC Park faces east - that is homeplate is at the west end, center field at the east end. If you sit directly behind homeplate, you would be facing eastwards.
To avoid sun, (and I've never been in the park so I don't know how much actual sun exposure there would be) you would probably want to sit behind homeplate or along the first baseline. Anything along the third baseline might have exposure to sun.
Remember, San Fran is usually a little cooler, and SBC Park is right on the Bay, so sitting in the shade might make for a cool day at the game.
Have fun!

SBC Park sits with home plate facing mostly south east, the Right Field upper reserved section seats faces towards the east and the left field seats face mostly south. You will be in the sun for most of the game in the left field area, but by late in the game the right field upper seats will get shade as the sun moves behind the stadium.
Now late May is the start of the foggy season, so the sun may not come out early or at all, or you could have a nice warm sunny day. The park is very warm for most day games based on where they placed it and how the winds hit it.
