SF Dinner and Jazz - Zingari?

OK, my sisters will be here this week. We are staying near Union Square but have a car. For dinner I have been looking at Chapeau, Albona or North Beach Restaurant. They did want to go to a show but nothing in town they want to see.

So now I am thinking about jazz. The Razz Room at Hotel Nikko has a jazz but it's $40 or so a head to get in. Then I came across Zingari Ristorante in Hotel Donatello which has jazz in the bar at 7:30 (weeknights) but I haven't ever heard anything about them. Reviews are mixed. Cafe Claude also has jazz at 7:30. hmmm Any other ideas?

Isn't the weather beautiful! Hope it holds up through the weekend.

Thanks so much.

Have dinner and see jazz at Yoshi's.

They do both very well. Had appetizers and saw a great show there last trip.

Didn't make it here, but it was on our Short list:

Yoshi's is a fabulous place, but the showroom is separate from the restaurant, so it depends if you want jazz with your dinner, or jazz before or after your dinner. Either way, Costco has 20% coupons.

Good idea Deb. Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification and Costco tip as well sf. Appreciate it. I'm going over to my Costco here in South San Jose tomorrow but I don't recall seeing Yoshi coupons. Maybe have to pick them up in Costco SF?

I think we are going to pass on Yoshi's since we are "speed touring". See where they want to eat when they get here and since Zingari is close to the hotel, try going there for drink and jazz after dinner. Gotta wear those sisters out!

Hmmm, maybe I should make them walk all the way over to North Beach in their cute little shoes! lol Actually, starting to go for easy and close...maybe Scala's.

Food at Zingari's is way over priced. In the lounge is a jazz singer, changes every so often.
