SF Chinatown restaurant recommendation

Looking for authentic Chinese restaurant in San Francisco for spouse and teenage son, who will be in SF for a day while they are doing college tours. Spouse has traveled extensively in Asia, and son enjoys home cooked meals by his Asian American friends' families. We've been to SF including Chinatown on previous trips. Cost is not an issue. Would prefer to stay within a cab ride distance of dowtown SF. Thanks.

Dim sum or regular menu?

We really like City Views and include a stop there every trip to SF.

662 Commercial St
(between Kearny St & Montgomery St)

Sorry, should have indicated that City View serves Dim Sum. Get there by 11:45am to avoid long lines.

We've always enjoyed Hunan Homes on Jackson St. between Grant and Kearny.

For dim sum, there is always Yank Sing! (My Bay Area relatives have been going to - and take me - there as long as I can remember.)

For more on dim sum, these two threads on Chowhound look promising:

The Yank Sing has an excellent reputation, and has for decades.

Another highly rated place is Gold Mountain for dim sum.
544 Broadway.

The highest Zagat rated Chinese restaurant in Chinatown is R&G Lounge. 631 Kearney.

We enjoyed Dim Sum at City View. I would go there again, but would also try Yank Sing next time too. Both places seem to always be mentioned when thinking dim sum. Yank Sing seems a lot higher priced though.

Thanks everyone. Spouse now wants to try to fit in 2 of your suggestions during their day. Thankfully, the 6 foot 2 and growing 16 yo is always hungry. I'll post their reviews when they return.
