Chocolate shop in SF ?
Very late last night I saw a great show on San Francisco. They were doing a tour of SF to more obscure sites.
One was a chocolate shop called something like "Chocolate coverered" or "covered Chocolate"
I know I've got the name wrong, because I've tried googling it.
Does anyone know of this shop? The also sell tins with different street names on the lid. The owner goes out with his camera and tries to capture nice street name signs.
Looks like a really unique gift to bring home.
Also they talked about Mitchell's Ice Cream, and I did manage to scribble the address for it.
They also talked about the Bi Rite MIssion area for shopping . This might be where the chocolate shop is.

From a yelp.com review, here you go:
"Sounds weird but you have to try the chocolate bar with tiny bits on smoked bacon in it, thought it would be too weird to try but it is now my favorite bar. The whole sweet salty thing is awesome, like the salted caramel ice cream at Bi-rite. Plus it's cool to come and check out the lunch boxes and all the little blue tins with SF street names on them. (the owner makes them)."
Chocolate Covered
Neighborhood: Noe Valley
4069 24th St
(between Castro St & Noe St)
San Francisco, CA 94114
(415) 641-8123
Wow! Sounds like a find! What was the show, kodi?

Betsy, thank you so much. That's the one!! The guy on the show sampled a chocolate with chilies in it.
The channel is new to me, not sure if it really is new.. but it's called Fine Living and it might just be in Canada.
The show is called "I Live Here" .. and featured locals taking the guest to their favourite places . I was so happy this particular show was about SF. I'll be sure and visit the shop when I'm there.

Haven't been to Chocolate Covered but you can poke around that area and it's adjacent to the Mission and over the hill from the Castro.
Also--because you mentioned it--Bi-Rite has terrific ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery--and is right by Delfina Pizzeria (for pizza) or the restaurant itself for more upscale. Mission Dolores and Dolores Park are close to Bi-Rite too.
