Service that does 24-hour advance checkin for Southwest Airline passengers?

I remember some previous discussion about comanies that charge, say, $5 per passenger to do electronic check-in 24 hours before the passenger's flight on SWA. (I know I can do it myself.)

Does anyone know if those companies still exist and if so, how to reach them?

Based on a google search, CheckinSooner.com.

I have never used it so not sure how reliable it is.

Have you checked to see if you can do it over the phone and then just print when you get there? I think I read that.

You can use web enabled mobile devices now:

I don't always bring my laptop with me so checking in at the 24 hour in advance moment, is difficult. I have found that if your schedule allow for it, you can often use a computer in the hotel's business center, some hotels even have computers that are specifically for this purpose. You can also ask the concierge to do this for you [a small gratuity is nice] or you can even go to a public library.

I know you weren't asking this, but figured I'd toss it into the thread.

tchoiniere, that's it! Thanks. Unfortunately, looks like you have to subscribe to get the service for SWA, although I was able to plug in my info. for an upcoming AA flight at no charge.

Deb, I usually do it with my Bbery while traveling, and have used hotel concierges, but now it's about timing -- I have an early flight and don't want to get up early twice (once to get the ticket, once to get the flight) so was interested in this option. The company I now remember originally offering this service, boardfirst, was involved in litigation for several years with SWA and ultimately lost, so now does not offer that service.

vjpblovesitaly, I was not aware of the phone option. Interesting.

I have found that some flights, a couple of hours doesn't make a lot of difference in getting boarding pass. I have checked in and still gotten A pass. I guess it depends on the specific flight.

The other thing, I find that as long as I don't get a C, I am able to find a seat that is ok [read that, not a middle seat].

Good luck!

I meant to add, I am almost 100% sure you cannot just use the phone [regular call] to check in. It has to be via web enabled mobile devices.
