September is a glorious month in NM! Sunny days with blue skies and mild temps and cool, crisp evenings.

Daytime temps should be high 70's to low 80's. Nights should be mid 50's.

Dressing in layers is recommended as the days start and end cool and days are warmer.
{pssst - It's Tamaya}

My reply about weather was for the Albuquerque area, where the Tamaya is located.

Sept. will be much cooler to the north {santa Fe, Taos, Angel Fire, Red River etc} with snow possible in the high elevations.

To the south, it will be much warmer { Las Cruces, etc}.

Spring in SW is my least favorite time. It can be very windy, with lots of dust and allergens.

May is a very windy month. Days can be nice, nights still cold. Drop in temps between day and night can run 30 degrees. Dress in layers, same advise as above.

When the wind isn't blowing, it can be sunny with mild temps and blue skies. Watch the altitude and drink lots of water and take it easy for the first few days if you are coming from sea level. Altitude can make hiking etc a challenge, even if you are in great shape.

Everything Deb said.

No matter what time of year you visit, make sure you bring and wear sunscreen.
