For Mesa Verde check the park alerts before taking away a day from somewhere else as there are closures affecting your ability to visit the entire site.

Weatherill Mesa is closed for example.

I will look out for this next year! Good to know there might be closures. have still added a day, since after the above tips I found more interesting sites in this area. Our trip seems to slowly expand…

There's quite a bit to see in the Four Corners area. I have a trip report that covers some of it A fall meander from TX to CA
