Senior Citizens in Maui/Ohau/Kauai
Hello and a BIG thank you for all the information I have read about. Last year I posted regarding parents trip and life got in the way of me continuing my research so I'm back again with only 2 months before their trip. They are a party of 8, all over 70 (celebrating their 50+ anniversaries together). They have already made their airfare and hotel reservations but would like some guidance on guided tours (as my father would be the only driver and he'd like to enjoy the sites). Would you recommend hiring someone with a van for them (unfortunately they are on a bit of a senior citizen budget..but not that low). I've been to Maui and Oahu (on honeymoon, so I was hapy to begin with) and I know reserving through the hotels for tours can be a bit pricey and somewhat disappointing (the gazillions of people at the luau in Oahu was, to say the least...YUCK). They are not disabled by any means, but are not up to alot of walking. They would like to have their itineraries done for them before they go so there's no thinking...not handholding, just prepared. I need your assistance. Of course Pearl Harbor definetely...but what else. Thanks, Carol

Here's a thread from one of your previous messages.

Here's a site you can look through to get an idea of what attractions/activities there are on each island & the approximate cost of them:
www.hawaiifun.org
Here's a site with some transportation links for Oahu:
http://www.budgettravelonline.com/bt...081901179.html You can click on Snap Guide for a free pdf download for Oahu info.
This site has lots of activities:
http://www.alohafriendshawaii.com/
Click on: Oahu Activity Suggestions
Click on: Oahu Land Aventures
You will get a list of activities and a list of transportation options.
Try it for other islands.
Also try water adventures.
Besides the sites in the thread above, here are some more sites that you can look through for info:
