Self-guided driving tour of Washington DC in Spanish
We have friends visiting from Ecuador who do not speak English. We would like to take them on a driving tour, with various stops, enabling us to drive them and have a narrative in Spanish. Any ideas? We contacted the SelfTour company, which has an app that can be purchased and downloaded,, but they do not have it in Spanish yet.

Most tourists don't tour DC in a car, just as you wouldn't do that in New York City. Sure, there are some vistas worth seeing, I guess, but unless there is some disability that someone cannot get out of the car, I wouldn't do this. The traffic is bad enough as it is.
There are hop-on/off bus tours that hav audioguides in various languages. There are plenty of foreigners who come to DC and Spanish is a common language on them.
Here is the only one left I think that is not loud narration in English

Otherwise, I'm sure there are DIY audioguide tours in various languages, I imagine, and then you could take your own time, maybe using the circulator bus that goes around the Mall. But the self audioguide tours I've seen are very limited, only one small place at a time.
There are various tours in Spanish, also, although I have no experience with one. LIke this company

If I were you, I"d do the hopon/off bus and then just walk around visiting things, using a guidebook in Spanish, that's all. Lots of people do this that visit foreign countries.
