There are LOTS of great hikes in Sedona. Encourage the teens to do some research and pick the ones that appeal to them.
Courthouse Butte/Bell Rock was one of our favorites.
Also thought the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour was great fun.

With only 3 nights total, I think you would be better off doing the Grand Canyon as a day trip.
The Bell Rock/Courthouse Butte hike is one of my favorites, too. Also, Boynton Canyon, West Fort Trail, and Baldwin Trail.
Some favorite things to see/do:
Definitely, the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour
Visit Red Rock Crossing.
View sunset at Red Rock Crossing, Upper Red Rock Loop Road, or Airport Mesa(parking on the left about half way up).
View sunrise on Airport Mesa, at the Sky Ranch Lodge overlook.
Chapel of the Holy Cross -- great views, but a very moving place -- even for non-religious people like me.
Browsing uptown shops and Tlaquepaque can be fun.
