Seattle Wa to Butte Mn Road TripH

Hi, I want to take a drive and see the sights west to east from Seattle to Butte. Mostly on Rt 90 but some off the interstate. How late in the spring season should I wait? I would like to not hit a blizzard but beat all the RVs that come out in the spring...........just a quick jaunte only a week of time to spare

Are you coming back or is this a one way shot?

I-90 is beautiful over Snoqualmie Pass and when it crosses the Columbia River Gorge, but IMHO, after that it isn't very exciting until you get to about Wallace, ID.

I-15 south of Butte is scenic, and I especially like the drive that starts in Darby, MT, on 93 and then goes through Salmon to 75, 21 and into Boise.

From Boise, the drive up 55 to New Meadows and then on 95 through Lewiston and Moscow to Coeur d'Alene is beautiful.

I can't advise you how early you can make this trip without hitting a blizzard.

You'd probably be fine in April, but there aren't any guarantees.
