Why I Didn't Do A Trip report

I noticed a thread a short time ago about people who don't do trip reports after getting good help on this site. I always try to help with my experiences if I can....
We recently took a trip to SC with another family member couple, and benefited from help from this site.
However, I report with a very heavy heart that we recently lost one of our traveling companions to a heart attack at a very early age, and I haven't the heart yet to make a report. Please forgive me....

That's terrible, I am so sorry. And to have it happen away from home just complicates it all further.

I read your post wrong, I thought you were saying he had died on the trip, I apologize.

I should clarify...We had traveled to SC with brother/sister-in-law, and had a wonderful time. but shortly thereafter, we unexpectedly lost BIL. Although the trip was a blessing with lots of wonderful memories, I just haven't had the heart to post a report.

My sympathies to you and your family HotWheels. Don't worry about a trip report. As time goes on may the beautiful memories you have of your brother-in-law comfort you.

I echo LoveItaly's response. Don't be sorry, just be with important family members at this time.

Hope you have many fond travel memories and other memories with your companion.

It's nice he had one last enjoyable trip with people he loved.

Thank you for your sympathies... Yes, it's good that we shared those fun times; it helps to remember. The trip almost didn't happen due to work schedules, but it appears it was meant to be for reasons now known. It's a good reminder that when we're torn about whether we should "dance" or not, we should take the time to live.
