Very cool photos, I enjoyed viewing them a lot. Wish mine came out as nice as yours.
How was the Steelhead Diner? I'm heading that way next month and have it on my restaurant list as it's walking distance from our hotel. Thanks.

thank you.
@curiousgeo - Steelhead Diner was too good. we enjoyed it. the food is good, the place has got good views, you can sit at the bar, or even sit facing their kitchen. good service too.

We, too, were in Seattle over Labor Day weekend while exiting a wonderful cruise to Alaska. Nice city. We took the Duck Tour (hilarious) and went up the Space Needle. And we LOVED the Pike Place Market. Our hotel, the Mayflower, was good and their restaurant, which we only ate breakfast at, was fabulous. Thumbs up to the Light Rail and the ease of use from the SeaTac airport to the hotel. And only $2.50/pp! My fav: seeing huge Mt. Rainer and Baker. (I love mountains!) They are double/triple the size of our mountains in the northeast.

Maybe it was just me but Steelhead Diner was not a homerun with me - I did like the clam chowder but the rest of the meal was so so. We did like Elliott's on the pier. Lowell's in the market was a waste - nice view but overpriced, mediocre food.
We were also in Seattle over Labor Day - great city for a long weekend!

You could sell these to the city for their tourist brochure. phenomenal job on capturing the feel of a city and presenting it a unique, engaging and dynamic way. You must be a professional photographer....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmph, Clam Chowder @ the Steelhead Diner... when the award-winning chowder @ "Pike Place Chowder" is just out the door, into the nearby alley, and only feet away???

*** for the record, "Charlestown Street Cafe" does business as "Pike Place Chowder" downtown, and sells the same, award-winning stuff.
Imagine... a huge chowder cook off at which nobody west of Massachusetts had ever won BEFORE, where a totally unknown and very non-descript neighborhood restaurant in West Seattle won smirking for three years running.
And yet you went to Steelhead Diner for chowder????
