Seattle Recommendations
My boyfriend and I are going to Seattle Friday for the long weekend and we are staying at The Woodmark in Kirkland. Anyone have comments on the hotel? Also, we are looking for some great places to eat - all recommendations are appreciated!
Thanks!

Haven't stayed at the hotel, but by all accounts it's very luxe, in a suburban convention-hotel sort of way. There are numerous places within walking distance (okay, it's a longish walk but pleasant, along the lake) in downtown Kirkland. What's your pleasure? For trips to Seattle, you might consider the bus, which stops on Lake Washington Blvd. right by the hotel, with quick service to the city center.

Eileen you will love the Woodmark, it is gorgeous! I would definately eat at the Yarrow Bay Grill which is right there in the marina. If you wonder farther towards Moss Bay the Third Floor Fish Cafe, Anthony's, Calabria, and Vidal's are all good. Or take a cab to Cafe Juanita (about 2 mins by car) for a truely wonderful and romantic meal! Make reservations!

Eileen,
Have a great time! I love living in Seattle. If you are staying in Kirkland, then I'd suggest trying the Barking Frog or Il Bacio on the eastside for dinner if you want something closer than downtown Seattle.
The lobster ravioli at Il Bacio is outstanding, and we loved everything we tried at the Barking Frog last Friday.
