Seattle over Labor Day
My husband is bringing me to Seattle over Labor Day weekend for the DMB concert at the Gorge! While I'm thrilled with that, we are also going to have all of Saturday, 1/2 Sunday, 1/2 Monday to experience the city. The Pike Place Market is a must-do for me, and I want great seafood for lunch and dinner. What are other things to do and places to see?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The Bumpershoot Festival, at the Seattle Center, happens over Labor Day weekend (http://www.bumbershoot.org/). It's one of the largerest festivals in the northwest.

The Van Gogh to Mondrian exhibit will still be at the Seattle Art Museum and is worth seeing. I suggest you get tickets in advance at Seattleartmuseum.org. Also, check out seattleweekly.com and nwsource.com for other events and sights you might like to visit.
There has been much discussion on various Seattle restaurants here in Fodors.
Hope you have a great time!

Well, of course the Space Needle. We also enjoyed a ride to Bainbridge Island on the ferry. The Dahlia Lounge, Flying Fish and Salty's on Alki Beach were our favorite places to eat.
We also enjoyed the Seattle aquarium and the waterfront activity. Nex trip I want to try Salumi and Matt's at the Market. Enjoy Seattle! ***kim***
