Seattle in mid-June

Seattle in mid-June
First time to Seattle. Expect to do 3 days city, 3 days Olympic Penn., back to either Cascade or Rainer for 3 days. Doable? Any must hotels? Shall we try for the big historic ones - Quinault or Pardise or do you have other favorites?
We are very healthy, active but not huge hikers....also retired and 70!! What neighborhoods do you like in Seattle? We'll do the normal tourist things and also try the whale watching (June??) and wineries. We are staying in Queen Anne.

Here is a trip report from this past July/August. I actually went twice(two weeks apart).
Went to Olympics and did a bit of Seattle with my wife and then went with my daughter a couple of weeks later did Mount Rainier, Cascade Pass in North Cascades NP, Whale Watching. The reason we didn't take a trip together is a conflict of school scheduling. My wife teaches school and our daughter was in summer school and then started her fall classes. Our public school here in Oklahoma usually starts about August 5 each year.
I think you would be a bit early for Mount Rainier(at least for the flowers-and they are spectacular). Might be a bit early for Hurricane Ridge(I'm not sure). The hikes in the Olympics are all fairly easy short hikes(what I would consider to be the main/best hikes anyway).

I would recommend going in July-August if possible. Your odds of getting better weather are much higher.
It sounds like you are familiar with the major tourist sites in Seattle already. Consider the lesser known tour to Tillicum Village. It is a ferry ride to Blake Island, where you have a full salmon dinner in a Native American long house. Native Americans will share with you stories of their tribes, with amazing ceremonial masks and clothing. We also saw craftsmen working on different wood carving projects while we were there. From grandparents to the youngest grandchild (my son was about 7), everyone in our family loved this experience.
