Seattle: Hotel Max

Has anyone stayed at the newly revamped Vance Hotel now that it has become Hotel Max? If so, what was your experience like?

I stayed there a little over two years ago before all the changes, and am considering it again for a future trip to Seattle.

Haven't stayed there, since I live in Seattle but did notice all the renovations. Didn't realize they'd changed the name.

(I'll top your question even though I can't help otherwise)

There are several mostly favorable reviews at www.tripadvisor.com, but most comment on the small size of the rooms. The hotel started life as housing for employees of a lumber company.

Thanks for the help. I did try looking at trip advisor before posting, but must have overlooked it. I'll try again.

I just read a short review in the Belltown paper about their grand opening. Guess they have loads of art and photography in the remodel and are billing it as "the hippest hotel in Seattle".
