Seattle area weather in April
We're wondering if waterfront places around the Seattle/Hoods Canal/Bainbridge etc, area will be having outdoor seating open by the 3rd week of April. We live somewhere so cold that Seattle seems warm to us in the spring. No problem for us to sit outside with temps in the 50's (as long as it's not raining). I just don't know if there will be anywhere to sit. I remember 2 years ago Victoria was gorgeous by the first week of May, but that may have been a fluke.

February 22-24, 1998, we had lovely weather when we visited Victoria. That's one thing I like about the NW--you never know when you're going to have a beautiful day. You may find outdoor seating someplace while you're here in April, but, if you don't, you can get take-out and eat it on the waterfront.

Most of the restaurants that offer outdoor seating have radiant heaters that provide more than adequate heating for the tables. If it's rainy, of course, then outdoors is less desirable. But temps in the 50s by the second half of April should be easy.

It seems like most of the places I go just play it by ear according to the weather. If it's warm, sunny and there is demand, they'll open the area, but during weather in the 50s...I don't usually see outdoor dining options, but maybe they'll let you if you ask.
