4 adults & 1 child (1 1/2 yrs) will be going to Seattle, Olympic National Park, Vancouver, Victoria & San Juan Islands in June. We have 8 days. Are we trying to do too much? Want to relax but fit as much in as possible as we do live on the East coast and will probably never be back in the area. Any suggestions on lodging, food, entertainment (i.e. golf, shopping, whale watching, etc) would be appreciated. Thanks for your help!

You might be trying to do a little too much for 8 days...having done a siliar trip in the past, but in 2wks, I would probably leave out on of the San Juan Islands out of the itineary. Maybe you should spend 2-3 nites Seattle, 2 nites Vancouver, 1 nite Victoria, 1-2 nites on the Pennisula (all depending when your departure is)
You are going in the BEST month, weather wise. Don't miss Buchart Gardens on Victoria Island
There is a wonderful Park in Vancouver with a Rope pedestrian bridge that is fun, but not for the weak knee.
Seattle has some fantastic restaurants...Wild Ginger, Dahlia Lounge to name a few...
both seattle and Vancouver are cities where just walking around and enjoying the sites, and sounds of the Beautiful Northwest is something not to miss.

In Seattle, allow time to visit Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square and the waterfront. You do have a lot planned for 8 days, and I doubt if you can do it all, allowing for driving/ferry time too. If you wish to stay on the waterfront, I always recommend the Edgewater Hotel.

I agree with the two previous posts in that doing San Juan and Olympic Natl Park is too much. I did a similar trip in 6/99 with parents in there 70's. We had a wonderful time. Stayed at Embassy Suites in Bellevue, and Sylvia Hotel in Vancouver. Good luck.

Yes that is too much for 8 days. I don't even think it would be physically possible with all that driving and ferry rides and waiting for ferry rides which can often be LONGER than the ride itself. I'm not a city person though so if it were me I could leave Olympic Mt, San Juan islands and Vancouver island/Victoria and skip Seattle and the city of Vancouver.
