The problem with the Fox is that the acoustics are not very good. It's a beautiful theatre but it was not built for the type of showa it now has. True, you might get a better overall perspective from the loge but I'd take the 2nd row orchestra.

I'm here, but not much help. It's been years since I've been in the Fox, and I agree about the acoustics. What's more, while I normally rush to take the first row mezzanine, if I remember that is WAAAAYYYYY back there at the Fox, and I'm not sure how well I could even see from there. If the stage isn't really high (how do we know?) then I'd probably take that second row also, even though they are at the sides. At least there, I'd feel I was more a "part" of the show and could see faces and reactions, as well as hear without a major echo.

Depends on the show. If it is one that you would like to see the whole stage set, then Loge. If it is one that you would prefer better sound, then 2nd row.
Also, 2nd row may not be great shakes for sound acoustics either. While not at the Fox, I've had front center seats where the sound goes right over my head.
IMHO, I'd take Loge seats for a show like Hairspray. We saw Peter Pan there and it was nice to see the full choreography.
