Scenic Columbia River Highway - food

Hi

We will be travelling with a toddler and planning to make a slow one-day trip on Columbia River Gorge Scenic Highway seeing the waterfalls , vistas etc..
What would be good places to stop for lunch in the area ? How is the multnomah lodge restaurant ? All other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
Rebbu

I believe the Wildflower Cafe in Mosier would be ideal for your family. (I've never eaten at the Multnomah Lodge restaurant.)

We took a picnic and ate at a beautiful rest area off the highway, along a scenic creek/river.
It was really nice... not far from Multnomah Falls.
Then we went to the falls and had ice cream after a brisk hike up to the falls.
Gosh, I just love that area!!!

I agree, the lodge is nice. We had brunch there one morning before we set out hiking. The walk to the top of the falls is great, and not tough at all. Go all the way up, not just to the bridge.

I have not been, but my SIL who lives in the gorge really likes Tad's.
