Scam or Reputable?? Worldwide Travel Center
Is this outfit on the up and up? I won a free 3 day/2 night vacation. The catch seems to be that I have to first put down a $50.00 "refundable reservation guarantee." Do you know anything about this outfit, Worldwide Travel Center?

Why would you want to apy $50 for a 'free' vacation? Seems like a stupid policy. What is the 'free' vacation anyway? Bet it doesn't include airfare. You proabably getting a 2 nt motel rm stay. I'm sure it's one of those timeshare things - a complete scam and a waste of time.

There are many scams associated with this company. see http://www.complaints.com/january200...anuary20.3.htm, and http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff8037.htm.

Never, never, never fall for those infamous phone calls or postcards that say you've won a "free" vacation. If you had truly won something you don't have to pay a thing (except taxes to the government.) These are simply sales tactics to get the gullible to bite.
Run, don't walk away.

To those of you kind enough to post, thanks. I'll give you the rest of the story, as they say. I joined Curves, a women only exercise outfit with franchises all over. How I "won" the vacation was by losing the most pounds and inches for a certain month. I know airfare isn't included. I guess I should just be pleased tht I am finally getting in shape and leave it at that. But, my curiosity led me to post on Fodors.
