We ate there last week and agree with Orland_Vic: Wiley's Championship BBQ
http://www.wileyschampionshipbbq.com
It's easy to miss because the name implies a big place and it is a plain storefront in a mini-strip of stores outside town. We missed it, asked for directions, and still almost missed it.

Michael, thanks for posting that! We tried to eat at Husk when I was in Charleston over New Year's, but didn't have reservations the first time we tried and then they were closed on New Year's Day. My friend REALLY wanted to eat there - I sent her your link to tell her that we must go back.

Hey, jent103,
If you do come back, add FIG to your list!

We went again Wednesday night and it was wonderful. The menu changes daily. And be sure to get dessert.

Oh dear, suewoo. I think I WILL have to come back! (We're talking about another New Year's trip, maybe, but at least this year we'd be more prepared! We didn't think about so many things being closed on the holiday last year - the friend who wanted to eat at Husk was also deeply disappointed by the dungeon being closed on New Year's Day.)
