Santa Fe Opera tickets

We just got the opportunity for a last minute trip to Santa Fe. Would love to go to the opera but all the performances during our week are sold out. Does anyone know of my chances of getting "return" tickets if we drive out to the venue the night of the event?

It is certainly worth a try. It is a nice ride out of Santa Fe...pack a picnic so if worse comes to worse, you can have a picnic dinner.

I've also heard from a poster on here, LeeAnn, that sometimes the public radion station has tickets that season ticket holders turn in. In Santa Fe its http://www.ksfr.org/ and in Albuquerque its http://www.kunm.org/

Hope this helps...

LeeAnn is known as ElendilPickle on fodors. Type that in up in the search box to bring up her postings and see if the public radio info it there IF you can't find info on the websites I listed or by calling radio stations.
Hope this helps...

Thanks for the nice words, Debi!

Actually, it's KHFM, the classical music station in Albuquerque, that does the opera ticket exchange. Let me see if I can find their website...

They don't have a website, but their phone number is 505-767-6700.

Do search in Santa Fe as well; maybe one of their radio stations offers a similar service. And have a great time!

I just went to Ebay to see if there were any tickets there and the site gave me a link to www.jumbotickets.com and they have some availability for Santa Fe Opera Tickets, so you might try there.

Good luck.

I was there this week and there were some people standing out front trying to sell their tickets. I guess it's worth a shot to go early and see what happens.
