Santa Fe GTG -- Sept 2010
I will be going up to SF soon to try and arrange a group rate for hotel. In order to get the best price available, I have to be able to give them some idea of how many attendees will be there, how long folks will stay etc.
The big GTG event will be dinner on Saturday night, September 11th. I figure that most folks will be in town for at least 2 night [Friday and Saturday].
Rather than have that kind of info here on Fodors, I am asking that you contact me with some info:
1. How many nights lodging you want; when you will arrive and depart.
2. Price range you are willing to spend for room per night [rate may include breakfast and parking, depending on who gives the best deal].
3. Do you want a basic place or more upscale?
4. Are you willing to stay somewhere away from the Plaza [that will be less $ but will mean needing a car].
Please email me at same screen name @ gmail dot com to give me an idea of your needs.
I understand that this is still some time away yet and that many of you aren't sure if you are coming or not. Let me know, as best as you can, the chance of you coming. I am not sure how many rooms they will want to be guaranteed etc.

Sage Inn is an excellent choice as it is nice, good location and good value. If others want to check it out here is their website:

emd, I would love to meet you, too, and hear about your travels.

I am working with Santa Fe Sage Inn on a promotional rate, looks like it would be $99 on weeknight [Thurs and Sunday] and $105 on weekend [Fri and Sat].
Anyone interested?

I can vouch for it -- great value and location is walking distance (15 minutes) to the plaza area. Muffins and coffee for breakfast and free wifi, which is uncommon these days.
Also, it's next door to Whole Foods if you want to pick up picnic lunches for the day if you're headed out to hike.
They have a shuttle service to the plaza area as well but the times vary each day. It's nice because you can call the fellow and he'll bring the mini-van to pick you up. Weekends were around 9 or 10 am and ran through 9pm or so with a break for lunch. No fee but he appreciated tips.
Deb, you're a good egg for doing this!
