Santa Barbara hotels etc advice
I will be in SB for two nights (coming by Amtrak, hope to avoid car rental).
Its just me, want to stay in a well-located hotel or inn with quiet rooms (night time).
Would like to spend under $200 a night.
Plan on seeing the mission, court house, boat ride of some sorts, possibly the duck tour, botanical gardens. Would love advice on accomodations, sights and restaurants. Thanks.

For reasonable and close to the train station I would recommend the Eagle Inn.

For a hotel, the Country Inn By The Sea is about 3-4 blocks from the Amtrack Station. Clean, comfortable, decent. Almost next door to the Station is the Enterprize Fish Company restaurant. A little on the noisy side, but good. A few blocks away on Cota (just off State) is the Palace Grill (Cajun) and the Bay Cafe is around the corner from the Santa Barbara Winery.
Enjoy
