If you 're looking in Ojai, I recommend the www.sunidoinn.com. All suites, like small apartments really and easy to walk into town.

It is an easy drive from Carp into Ojai... you will be just fine at night.

October is a busy month here and usually the nicest weather, so when you find something you like at the right price... book it!

I found out they are now having the wedding at the Fess Parker Resort, so we will probably stay there. It wouldn't be my first choice, but we'll see what kind of deal they can get on a block of rooms for the wedding party. The ocean view rooms look nice enough.

It's a nice enough hotel, not fancy, but has a nice pool and is within walking distance to the pier and the shuttle to downtown. You will probably be able to park there and not have to get back into your car! Many times you can book and pay in advance for a much lower rate than usual... so if you can try that, i would. Wedding room rates aren't necessarily going to be the best rates available!

Harbor View Inn... is within walking distance from the wedding venue and the rooms are smaller but a bit more updated and upscale.

Happy hotel hunting!

I just made a reservation at the Spanish Garden Inn. It looks nice and comfortable. Breakfast and underground parking are included in the rate. Thanks for your feedback and information.

I just returned from our stay in Santa Barbara at the Spanish Garden Inn. It is a lovely little boutique hotel with very comfortable rooms and excellent service. Not cheap, but it is fairly priced. It is located within a short walk of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. I really enjoyed it and would stay there again, but next time, I'd also look at somewhere nearer the ocean and beach. Santa Barbara is a great town.

BTW, I am really happy that I did not stay at the Fess Parker Double Tree. The location is great, but the hotel itself is not for me. They handled the wedding with great skill though.
