We loved the Tucker House B&B in Friday Harbor. We were two couples, and shared the 2-bedroom suite, Victoria's Flower Garden, which made it affordable. Breakfast was fabulous, made to order (you filled out the menu the night before), and delivered to your room in a basket at time of your choosing - so none of that awkward B&B communal breakfast stuff. Very close to the ferry landing, no car needed (we had one anyway). Nice place, and they were refurbishing, adding jacuzzi tubs etc while we were there, so it should be even nicer now.

You might want to place this in the Washington State category-I didn't notice it there. Anyhoo. We just came back from a 2 night stay at the States Inn B&B on San Juan Island-its about half way between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor Resort. It is a working farm with horses, alpaca, chickens ect. You can pet and feed the animals and walk around the farm. the breakfasts were wonderful with all organic ingredients. And fresh homade cookies out evernight. Our room the "wisconsin" was comfortable except the bathroom was extremely small, fine for us as we are not large people but anyone bigger than us may need to leave the door open to be comfortable. The other rooms seem not to have this issue. We loved our stay there.

My husband's aunt is the innkeeper at the Kangaroo House on Orcas Island. We would love to visit, maybe this summer. She has won lots of awards with her cooking. I believe it is rated #1 B&B on Tripadvisor. Have fun! ***kim***

We love Spring Bay Inn on Orcas. They aren't open all year however. The stay includes daily kayaking with the owners.

Great place (stayed there for our 25th anniversary and have been back since).
