First of all, the bus station isn't there any more, it has been moved to 1st and Mission(the transbay terminal) 7th and Mission is a rough area after dark and you wouldn't want to be wandering around. Lots of winos and drugies, who usually leave the tourists alone, except for crimes of theft from autos ect. The hotel itself is safe, redone a few years back, if your budget is limited it's an OK choice, otherwise I might choose elsewhere.

The bus terminal is Mission at 1st which is OK area. You're staying at Mission and 7th which is not the terminal area. If you are a female you don't want to be there walking alone even at daytime. You may be spending on taxis what you save on lodging.

*Urk*

Don't stay at 7th & Mission. Pretty please with a cherry on top? It's awful, skanky, abhorent, oh wait, that's sixth. Seriously, 6th & 7th Streets from Market on South are Uber Skank City.

Go read all the posts about why Union Square is to be avoided, and swap in 6th/7th st anywhere you see evil about Union Square and it'll be Og's honest truth.

Please find a different hotel.

Thanks everyone for your advise, Im going to do more research and pick a hotel in another area. I was concerned as the price seemed too good, we have similar areas here that are'nt sutiable
for visitors.
