San Francisco to Disneyland
Hello all, planning a trip to Cali in September; we have to go to San Francisco to see some family, but would also like to go to Disneyland.
We are not renting a car.
What is the best way to get from San Fran to Disneyland? Are there buses or trains? or should we fly?
Thanks

Fly into Orange County and get transportation to the Disneyland Resort Area (about 15 miles away). I would guess that there are shuttles operated by the hotels in the Disneyland area.
I've done the train route once and it was not fun. I can't even imagine going through the Central Valley on a bus.

Fly and take either a SuperShuttle or the Disneyland Bus from LAX.
If you are not local, don't forget the low cost airlines like Jet Blue or Southwest, and that flying from Oakland to either Long Beach or Santa Ana is another option.

I recommend flying into Orange County (John Wayne Airport) vs. LAX -- much closer to Disneyland, and a smaller airport to deal with. If you fly into LA you must be mindful of the traffic/ travel time for your ground transportation, whether SuperShuttle or taxi. This morning it took about 30 minutes to go from Disneyland to the OC airport in commute time; it would have been MUCH longer to LAX I'm sure.

Do you need to do round trip or have you booked your air fare yet (at least I'm guessing you're flying to California. I always do open jaw flights -- into SFO and out of LAX or vice versa. It would sure be nice not to have to return to SF before going home.
