- Perbacco - Italian. 15 min walk from Union Sq. Pastas are less than $30 but most mains are greater than $30
- Kokkari - Greek. 20 min walk. Most mains are greater than $30 but you can find some less
- Sams Grill - seafood. 10 in walk - oldest restaurant in SF. Try to get a booth if you want privacy.
If your $30 includes tax, tip, and SF "healthy" fee - Sams is the only one that would work.

Barbacco, next door to Perbacco. In SF, as in probably most higher end dining, main course portions are not large, so by the time you add in salad, appetizer, a cocktail or two, the cost goes over $30 each.
La Scala Bistro at the Sir Francis Drake is fine and handy.
