I've seen guided photo tours in other cities so I thought I'd google what is available in San Francisco. I was surprised to see so many websites appear!

Has anyone been on a guided tour? Any particulars of "must haves" from the operators? Anything to not waste time on?

We will be there in July for four nights.

I'm not personally familiar with such tours so I can't answer your question directly. However, I might Google for San Francisco photo clubs. Maybe one of those will have an on-line forum where you could ask the same question. It's also possible a San Francisco Historical Society might have the same.
