San Francisco Get-Together March 21 Monday evening

Hello, each and all! Our fellow Fodorite Iregeo will be in the city and can meet us all on Monday evening, March 21.

Can somebody please help me choose a nice, preferrably not noisy, place to meet somewhere close to Sutter/Kearny? Restaurant or a bar.

Who wants to join us? The time is not set yet. Suggestions are welcome. My e-mail: [email protected]

Please come! I'd love to meet you all. I know Monday is not the most convenient, but surely you could squeeze in a drink or two!

Thanks, Faina, for getting this started.

I am hoping to come! We will be there visiting family and I hope I can break away for a bit. I would love to meet everyone in person. Not sure yet if it will work out to come, but hoping

What time? I work downtown, by Union Square, and if it's after work-ish I could certainly make it.

Faina--LOL! Yes, but if I can ditch...ahem...take a break, from the family for a bit, lol! We may be in the city that day, but I don't know what my mom has scheduled for us yet.

MMS, assuming all families are alike, after few days with a family you'll be happy to have any excuse to get away

Leely, we don't have a place and time yet, opened to suggestions.

Can you please post times, palce, details, and is it necessary for attendees to give their name, rank and serial number, or could they just appear as a screen name? What if they buy a few rounds ... wlll they be welcomed?

Sobe, all I have is: Monday evening, March 21, after work, downtown close to Sutter/Kearny, exact time and location tbd (to be determined), suggestions welcome.

And as this is posted for everybody to attend, of course you can just appear there, but please introduce yourself at least as your screen name so we don't have to get your attention saying: hey, you!

I am waiting for more posts and e-mails to see if we should meet for drinks only or a dinner.

Don't be shy, post or e-mail!

Sobehappy--

If you buy a few rounds, I'll refer to you as Sobehappy for the rest of your life.

And I'd Be So Happy.

Faina, what about the bar in the Palace Hotel? Or is that too far for you guys? I'm open to whatever but probably couldn't stay for dinner (dog at home).

Wow, we were at the Palace Garden court for a drink before lunch just yesterday. At that English style bar - forget the name. Great idea!!!

Hi, I believe the pub at the Sheraton is called The Pied Piper (if you talking about the pub that has a mural over the bar regarding the Pied Piper).
Wish I could be with all of you, it sounds like fun. But besides an early morning appointment in VV the next morning March 21st is one of my GS birthdays (too many family members, LOL). ]

Faina, this should be an interesting get together, since:
Leone = Joe = Blacktie = TravelLaughter = TravelFirst = TravelsFirst = TravelsActually = evenrudemtr = Sobehappy. Yep, you've hooked a troll!

I actually met this kook at a Florida GTG a few years ago - back when he was "Leone" and claimed he was being stalked (but we shouldn't tell his wife). I imagine he won't show his face, but if he does, you are hereby forewarned! And we demand photos!

Joan, this is why we meet in a public place, not in somebody's house.

Sure I'll have a camera, never attend a meeting without one!

How about... drinks and appetizers at Bix, 56 Gold Street (between Montgomery and Sansome), sometime after work? If this is not convenient, don't hesitate to name another place. I'm easy! As for time, I'll be on vacation, so please make it convenient for (the collective) you.

What do you say? T.G.I.Monday!!!

Oh gads, Joan, thanks for the "heads up". Stupid me! Oh well, IMHO the Sheraton is overpriced and out of the way anyway, LOL.

Hi Faina, yes, if the troll is there we all want to see the photo, I think!

Well, if each of your "screen names" buys a round of drinks, everyone will be so drunk they won't know if you showed up or not, Joe! And you won't need to give your number, everyone already has your number!

Those posts sink too fast

I am swamped at work today, can't think of anything, but I am keeping an eye on this post and e-mails.
