San Francisco Dining With A View

I have read that the Carnelian Room's food has really improved since getting a new chef, is this true? Or does anybody know anything about the Equinox Restaurant atop the Hyatt Regency? I;ve heard that there it is all about the view and that the food is expensive and not very good. Comments?

I have always enjoyed staying at the Hyatt, but have found the Equinox restaurant quite ordinary. Expensive and not really worth the money.

Greens has a wonderful view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Yes I agree with Michael, Greens' view is wonderful, and the food is good, a bit pricey. But be advised that this restaurant is strictly vegetarian. Some people get unpleasantly surprised there

Green's has a great daytime view, it is very disappointing to visitors at night--I took an out of town guest there recently and she was very disappointed, particularly since the GGB is not lit up. Also she did not like the prices (even though I was paying)--she felt the prices were absurd for vegetarian fare even though she is a vegetarian (the reason I took her there). She really liked McCormick & Kuletos' and loved the view there, however.

The food and service at the Greens not all that great. Same goes for the Equinox. Both are basically tourist traps.
