san francisco
My husband and I will be in San Francisco from May 23 to May 27th and are staying in an rv park in Marin County. We will be getting the ferry or the bus into the city. Would like some advice on things to see and do during that time..thank you.

Wonderful walking tours, donation only to support the program [$5 or more person is a nice donation] covers so many different aspects of San Francisco.

It depends on what you want to see in SF. My Danish cousin and his 3rd grader daughter are visiting us. For 2 full days (one of 10 1/2 hrs), they essentially went into the city (on BART) by themselves & walked everywhere or took a cable car. For 2 other days we drove them to places you really can't get to efficiently without a car. Ferry for you would take the place of BART.
I'm not sure when the last ferry leaves for Marin - but some non-touristy restaurants won't start serving dinner until 5:30 or so.

You seem to have not done much research on SF. It is full of things to do and places to eat but each person has their own interests.
You could arrive by ferry at the FERRY BUILDING, walk outside and catch a HOP ON HOP OFF bus tour. This will give you a quick introduction to the city. You can return to areas if you want to spend more time.
