San Diego Shopping Help

Hello,

San Diego locals coming again over Thanksgiving to visit adult son.

Have done a search for a Kohl's - which is the best loctation for us starting from Ocean Beach?

Want to shop for casual every day clothes for adult son. He is not a shopper! Other recommendations for shops very welcome.

Thanks so much - looking forward to coming once again to lovely San Diego.

Sandy

Hi SandyBrit,

For Kohl's the closest to Ocean Beach would probably be Chula Vista. I've only been to the one in Poway.

My son (21) likes Macy's and Sun Diego for clothes. Macy's (Fashion Valley would be the closest I think) usually have sales on and they have a huge, good men's dept. Sun Diego has casual stuff.

The weather should be nice. We're supposed to be having high winds again starting Tuesday night through Friday, however I read this morning that they may not be as strong as originally feared. Just in case, fire trucks are already relocating here from N. California and our own Fire Depts are getting set up in case we have another firestorm. I hope not.

Hi SandyBrit!
Always great to see your posts..
Shopping for your son who lives in gorgeous OB..
They have in Point Loma/Midway area which is right next store to OB..
Marshalls, Ross and Target..
Also, love Stein-Mart and that is in Poway..about 20 minutes but quality for pretty darn cheap..great 20-50% off..
Swap Meet at the Sports Arena/Point Loma on the weekends has lots of options on the
t-shirts/sweatshirts for cheap too..4 for $10 and they are beach oriented..
Have a great time with your son and maybe a nice dinner at Thee Bungalow in OB..they have a prix fixe menu for $39.95 per person for Thanksgiving which should be really good!

TahitiTams: Between you and Barbara I think we are all sorted. I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

We do indeed have reservations at Thee Bungalow for Thanksgiving Day. We enjoyed it so much last year just decided to make it a tradition. Very good value for the money.

I also look forward to having a fish taco when in San Diego.

Go to the Brigantine in Shelter Island/Point Loma (5 minutes from OB) for the best fish tacos and they have a seafood happy hour everyday and they are about $2.25 and they are so bloody good!
Have fun!
