San Diego Restaurants
Hi, I'm looking for top end, cost is no object, great wine list recommendations for a client dinner in San Diego. George's on the Cove type of things. Does NOT have to be snooty/expensive but does need to be food/wine/ambience impressive. It's a pretty food and wine savvy group I'm taking out. Thanks

Well, why not just go to George's if you know that's the type of place you want? El Bizcocho in the Rancho Bernardo Inn will also fit your needs. Also, the Prado restaurant in Balboa Park. Unfortunately, food/wine/ambience impressive usually come with an equally impressive price.

A few restaurants to consider are Nine-Ten, Top O' the Cove, A.R. Valentien, Donovan's, George's - all in La Jolla; Laurel and Bertrand's at Mr. A's, both in Hillcrest/Balboa Park and Mille Fleurs in Rancho Santa Fe. All restaurants have extensive wine lists and great ambiance.

Others not mentioned with great wine lists are
1. Rainwaters (steakhouse by downtown)
2. Flemings Steakhouse in UTC across from the Hyatt. Also has huge selection by the glass which is rare.
3. Chez Loma in Point Loma/Ocean beach.
