San Diego Padres - Bleacher Seats?

We are going to see a Padres game in late May - 2 Adults 2 Boys ages 12 and 8. They have a promotion for $50 that includes 4 hot dogs, 4 cokes and 4 bleacher seats. Does anyone know if those type seats have a good view?? I know they would not be the most comfortable, but would like other opinions. Otherwise, where should I try to sit?? It is a day game.

HI..
Being an avid Padre Fan and did go to Opening Day.. You cannot go wrong with that deal..the seats are bleacher seats out in outfield but who cares, your watching the Pad's, getting hot dogs and a coke for $50 bucks..
There really is no bad seat and if it isn't sold out, go cruising for a seat you like.. I love the Park Pass for $5 per person but no seat... you cruise around the park at certain locations..
I say go for the $50 deal..How can you go wrong?
The kids would love to go through the Western Metal Building Store and there is a fenced area and you can get up and personal on the field.. I love that area!
Are you taking the Trolley?
Best to you and hope they win!!

Thanks for the info. Trolley?? We are staying at Capri By The Sea at Pacific Beach and will have a rental car. Is the trolley the best way to go and where do we park to get on board??

Hi, On their website, go to the ticket page and click on ticket programs. It is a special deal for families for Saturday and Sunday games, sponsored by Coca Cola. (I scoured the site for that package, didnt I? Then, since we are coming from out of state, I email to ask if we could get that package in advance and she said yes with a $5 handling fee. Since we are getting in the San Diego the night before, I didnt want to risk the game being sold out on Memorial Day weekend. Hope that helps.

HI..
As far as the trolley goes, you can catch it at the Old Town Trolley station but you can go on the Padres.com website on parking and park about 3-5 blocks away for around $10..
Tinfish.com is great for fish-n-chips for cheap and right next door to the park and good food and cheap and you don't have to deal with the trolley/or deal with it, let's out right in front..
I am so happy you are going to the Padres!
Sandiego.org
good site to check out on the trolley and other visitor things..
Have fun..

TahitiTams, Thanks for the advice on food. It looks good to me, but my husband was wondering if you could recommend a good Mexican place nearby for lunch?? Also, do you know if coming from Pacific Beach where we will be staying if the trolley is the best way to go?? WE havent a clue, obviously. I am excited to go to the game and will be ordering our tickets tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

HI..
I would do the Old Town Trolley stop which is about 10 minutes from PB and 10 minutes to the Ballpark and you want to get off at the Convention Center/Ballpark...
You can eat in Old Town which is a very touristy place with alot of Mexican Restaurants but since it has changed hands and not for the best, I would go to the Old Town Mexican Cafe across from the Famous Whaley House (haunted)..drive there and then park at the trolley station.
They make tortillas in the window and they make a great Margarita and everyone loves their Carnitas..
San Diego has some of the best taco shops in the Country..
While you are in PB..Los Panchos is a sit down restaurant on Garnet that is so good!! It is a kind of dumpy but it is probably one of the best in town..
Make sure you go to Kono's for breakfast in the morning right at Crystal Pier.. Cheap and so good! Sit across the way next to the shell shop and eat and watch the surfer's..
Here is the link to the parking if you wanted to drive down and park..

You can eat Los Panchos on the way to the Ballpark too..
Have fun and keep us posted!!

The title to my original question is incorrect. I just found out the seats we will be getting are the upper reserved. Anyone sat in those seats?? Just curious how high up they were. Granted must be a great view of the field, but am hoping they are not too far away. I am interested in your comments.

HI..
This is a Baseball Arena which there are really no bad seats.. yes, some have obstruction views at certain parts of the Park, you can't see the scoreboard but hey for $50 for 4 tixs and coke and dogs..How can you go wrong? Upper deck is fine..
If it isn't so busy, cruise around and see if you can get better seats..
Relax and enjoy yourself..it will be a blast!
