San Diego lodging, near USD

I have to attend an event at USD (Jenny Craig Pavilion) in May, and need a decent hotel close-by for one night. Looking at a map, one of the Mission Bay hotels might be okay? I don't want to spend much more than $100. Any suggestions?

Should I just wait and use Priceline for a 3* in the Mission Bay/Seaworld area?

Thanks!

Hi lvk..
I would do somewhere in Mission Valley/Hotel Circle and I would 4* a Priceline if they have it..it will be minutes to the Jenny Craig Pavilion..
Red Lion Hanalei or the Town Country Hotel would be good..there is also a Marriott but it is by the Q Stadium..
A few hotels in the Mission Bay/Seaworld area I would stay in would be the Hilton Mission Bay or maybe the Hyatt Islandia..

Also look at the Doubletree on Hazard Center Drive. Nice hotel, right next to a Trolley stop and Trophy's restaurant.
