Ok, it's me again. I guess I've gotten addicted to this site b/c in addition to checking my work emails I'm checking this website!
Claudette- we checked out of Coronado Marriott a few days ago... it was awesome!!! I highly recommend it. We stayed 2 nights and three days but ugh, would have LOVED to stay longer!
Trippin- we left San Diego and were there from July 5-July 9, it was awesome! Loved San Diego! Loved the scenery and the weather! We bought the 3 for 1 park ticket (San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World), we also went to Coronado Beach. If I had to do it again, I would definetly skip the Wild Animal Park. The African Safari ride was nice but the park was way too big to get around and after seeing all the animals at the zoo, it just wasn't worth it. Our kids didn't enjoy it much either. Coronado was amazing and so relaxing. It's a small town and you can basically get around on bikes or walking (which is what we did, we love to just walk around). The Marriott Coronado was a big two thumbs up! It was a great hotel. The zoo was awesome and my kids loved Sea World (went there twice).
Since then we've been to Long Beach, Santa Monica Beach and Malibu and driving along the Route 1 Pacific Coast Highway (amazing views even before we reach the Castle). We're now at Ventura mostly as a rest stop for our trip tomorrow to the Castle.
Oops, forgot--- we had lunch today at the Farmer's Market in LA. It was nice mostly because we got to eat figs! Mmmm, we're Mediterranean people so we love our figs. Will post more later!
