I'm not familiar with the InnSuites, but I have to say that El Cajon Blvd. does NOT have a very good reputation in this city (although some parts are better than others.)
You might want to see if there's anything available at "Hotel Circle" in Mission Valley. That's only 5-10 minutes away from Balboa Park, there's LOTS of different hotels down there, and the area is much better.

My San Diego phone book or AAA book does not list an InnSuites on El Cajon Blvd. I would like to help if you could provide more info about what you are looking for. Are you certain that the name is right. There are several suites hotels in the San Diego area.

I live in San Diego and would NOT recommend anything on El Cajon Blvd. I would stay downtown ( Embassy Suites ). Safe area and walking distance to many attractions.
Mission Valley is OK but you will have to drive everywhere. Generally speaking, the best areas are downtown, Coronado, La Jolla, Del Mar. Do NOT stay south or east of downtown. North and North West are fine. As I said Mission Valley is perfectly OK with lots of hotels, etc. The only problem is that there is no place to walk.
Try the Travel Web site <www.travelweb.com> for accomodations in the area. You can check availability and prices on line by requesting a reservation. This does not obligate you until you actually pay for it and even then you can always cancel. Gnerally pseaking their prices on line are cheaper than the going rates. They often will have rooms available even when the property is reporting a sold out cond
