I enjoyed seeing the photos. I'll be going from ORD to BOS for the GTG there in October.
Marilyn, haven't you posted about staying at the Piccolomini Hotel in Orvieto, or do I have you mixed up with someone else? My hubby and I just stayed there in April. Nice to connect a name and face.

Kal, very simple, you were not there to stop her!
I want to compliment both on picture signatures. When the Fodor's name is used, it's easier to put a face behing those lines.
Kal... ah, never mind!

It sure was fun meeting all of you last night at the GTG. Great people and great food. And maybe we don't have Fodor's pins but we do have Fodor's luggage tags!
Thanks to Seamus for putting it together and Happy Birthday to you!
And OO, Happy Birthday to your brand new baby! (and Mr. OO, too.) Good luck with the job search, P_M and I'm sorry your trip home was so bad but I'm glad you could make the trip. dcespedes, we didn't get a chance to visit much, so we'll have to next time. And thanks to you Marilyn because you and Phil Flash were probably the catalyst for this GTG. Kal, we have all been invited to your next GTG, so beware.

Phil wants to put our pix up now, but I think we should be good houseguests and not spend our time on our friends' computer. Oh, wait a minute, what am I doing checking fodors?
simpson, yes, I've spent quite a bit of time in Orvieto over several years and have always stayed at the Piccolomini.
Just for the inquiring minds that want to know, I only had time for ONE margarita and that is probably why I did no dancing on the table.
I'm happy to be a catalyst for any fodors GTG, but credit goes to Seamus for organizing it and to all who drove from a distance to meet. P_M, what a drag about the traffic!
And now, there's a mojito with my name on it and a swimming pool calling to me. Man, it sure is HOT here.
Love to all.

iceeu2, I'm almost finished sorting out my place in the mountains. We could have it there (NE GA) if we decide to go that route. It would be nice and cool - which would be good for syd!
I'm game if others are. I'm less than 2 hours from Atlanta, but it would be a harder drive for you from NW GA. Hwy 76 East until right before you get to SC.

Ah, I wish I could have snuck down from Tulsa--it looks like you all had a blast! I could have come down to ESCAPE the heat...at the moment we're six degrees hotter than San Antonio: weather.com says 102 recorded at 5:45pm. Don't even ask about the heat index.
