San Antonio GTG Thursday July 21, 2005
 

OK, gang, looks like we got us a plan. San Antonio area Fodorites, guests and anyone who just happens to be in town will convene for the inaugural SA GTG Thursday July 21, 2005 at 7:00 PM. Venue is Liberty Bar at 328 Josephine Street (just north of downtown, a couple blocks west of Broadway), a local landmark known for its funky hip ambience and great food. Dress is decidedly casual, weather will likely be hot. We will try to reserve enough space for all, so if you plan to attend please let me know via email at [email protected].

Missed this the first time around. We'll be there for sure. 5 couples so far...any Austinites up for the drive? You can crash at our place if you don't want to make the drive all the way back that night. We are an hour out of downtown Austin and the guest bedroom is made up. Your only worry might be our banshee cat's yowling at 4 AM...although that might serve as a good wake up call! We look forward to the GTG too.

Oh...I wish I could go, but I will be in San Francisco.

The SA GTG promises to be the "it" affair of the TX season. Crushed but I cannot attend, lol. The allure of the Bay Area keeps me here. Ciao!

I heard the drive from West Coast/ Tampa Bay, Florida to SA is not too bad.
RnR, you could probably do it in a day or two.

And the griled portobella with smoked gouda sandwich is worth the trip!
