Safe Dublin Hostel

I need to find a safe Dublin Hostel for my neice and her friend. Safety of the surrounding neighborhood is my biggest concern. Any suggestions for a concerned aunt?

Are you speaking of Dublin Ireland or California? I don't think Dublin, CA is a hostel town. More like motels/ motor inns.
