RV parking in San Francisco

We will be in San Francisco with an RV 20 feet long and 8 1/2 feet high. Is parking available for it?

I'm just guessing here because I personally would never drive an RV in SF - but at least this will bring your thread back to the top.

But, I would suspect the best places would be out at SFO long term parking, or maybe a parking lot near AT&T Park (since they would be able to acommodate gameday tailgaters)

Good luck - and expect to pay a LOT to park it . . . .

You definitely want to find a place to park it outside the city somewhere.

Maybe find a WalMart to park in. You DON'T want to drive an RV anywhere in SF!!! The airport would really cost a bundle for parking. Maybe there is someplace in Oakland, across the Bay from SF that might have parking for you. Do you have a list of KOA?? They might be able to help you.

I don't think you could leave it overnight, but you can probably park during the day at the Presidio. Down along the Bay there is a ton of parking, some of it dirt, all free.

Gosh hope you get this in time. I live in San Francisco and if you know the turf there are places but it is tricky.
1. There is a parking lot behind my old condominium building right at Ocean Beach and many RV's park there overnight. Google my old address:
855 La Playa San Francisco 95121
The parking lot is behind the huge condo complex directly across from the Ocean on one side of the Great Highway.
If you are heading North on the Great Highway, just past Golden Gate Park, you will cross Fulton. Take the next turn RIGHT into the parking lot. No sign here but if you get to the Cliff House you have gone too far.
2. You could also see if you can park an RV at BART station in South San Francisco which is near the airport. They have free parking and you can take BART into the City.

As far as I know the only RV park in SF is out at Candlestick.

Not in San Francisco, but how about the RV park next to the Beach-House off Hwy 1 in North Half Moon Bay, right on the beach? Do the Hostels have RV options? I don't know but would check. Is you idea to stay inside San Francisco or park and rent a car to get around?
