rumjungle at Mandalay Bay?

Has anyone eaten dinner at rumjungle. I understand the atmosphere is crazy fun, but how is the food?

Thanks!

Some friends took me there for my birthday a couple of years ago. The food was very good. We all ordered the same thing. For one price you get all you want of several different dishes, supposedly with a South American flair. There is a salad course and a couple of side dishes served. Then, several meat dishes served from large skewers are brought out. As I remember there was a fish, a pork, a beef, and a chicken dish to try. We were told we could have more of anything that we especially liked.

The food was pretty good, considering the tab was only $36 per person, not including drinks. Watch out for those drinks though! They do get expensive at rumjungle!

The best part for me was that we came back after 11pm, showed our dinner receipt to the doorman, and were allowed into the nightclub for free, without waiting in line. Had a great time dancing it up in there as well!

jumjungle may not be for everyone, but it's a unique experience and definitely worth trying.

I happened to be walking past rumjungle yesterday. The menu item I was referring to is called the "Fire Pit" and the price is $37.50 per person.

Thanks for the review vegaslocal. Sounds great.

Do you know if you need reservations?

I would assume reservations would be a "must" on a Friday or Saturday night, but having a reservation wouldn't hurt in any case.
