I'd like to know what happened to Feelin' Groovy and kickin' down the cobblestones?
___________
The problem is the Bridge now has 27 names. It is the Queensboro 59th Street Edward I Koch cantilevered Feelin' Groovy Bridge.

I've got a brand new pair of roller-skates
If you have a brand new key.
___
I do. I always loved when the clamps came lose and you'd go flying into a car.

IMDonehere, don't visit L.A. Or move here and learn how to chill.
It's a law that you must walk around carrying a take-away cup of coffee. Or a water bottle.
And tourists violate all of your "rules" all of the time. It makes them easy to spot.

Slightly off topic, one of the worst things I've seen a pedestrian do in NYC was done by a Mom with a couple of kids. As she approached a corner, wanting to press the button to cross the street, she lifted her leg up and pressed the button with the bottom of her shoe, apparently not wanting to make contact with the presumably germ-coated button. Tough luck for the next guy.

I think these rules should be distributed at hotel check-in, and at all bridge and tunnel crossings, RR stations, and definitely airports.
The bike situation has worsened since the advent of Citibikes, and I think a separate set of rules for the clueless bikers is definitely in order.
smetz, now I've heard everything!!

You could suggest to sidewalk cyclists that they get off their bike if they are getting their PSA read, for their own good:
"I think that for men who are getting routine PSAs to rule out the possibility of prostate cancer, they want to do everything possible to minimize fluctuations that could result in a biopsy and the possible finding of a clinically insignificant cancer. That would mean avoiding a bowel movement, avoiding sexual activity, and even avoiding cycling for about 24 hours prior to their test."
That would be a win/win.

I can here it now - PA speakers on every corner repeating the sidewalk rules every 52 seconds. All that remains is to determine the punishment for violators (which should be immediate, public, and entertaining).
