Does anyone have any suggestions for a very romantic location for a proposal? First thought was San Francisco, but where? Any great and creative suggestions would be appreciated. Would like to stay within one hour flight time from So California. Thank you, Richard

Anyplace on a beach under a full moon would do it for me. I can't think of anything more romantic than the sights, sounds, and smells of the ocean.

How about on a cable car, that would be cute, or at the top of Coit Tower.

At the halfway point of the walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. On a ferry on the Bay at sunset. In the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. Obviously, I lean toward outdoor locales that highlight the natural beauty of the area (though I've stuck w/in the city itself here). Is that what you have in mind? Or are you looking for a romantic restaurant, an imtimate bar, a swanky place with a view?

Do you have any favorite activities that you enjoy doing together? Are you wine drinkers? Maybe a visit to the wine country in Napa or up near the Central Coast? Maybe a romantic weekend up in Cambria with a proposal at Moonstone Beach at sunset?

I saw this on a wedding proposal special on the Travel channel and it was so romantic...The couple *happened* to be at one of the intersections where the cable cars stop and the people on the cable cars were holding a sign saying "Will you marry me, ....?" The guy got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend then right in front of the cable car...
