Robert's Steakhouse at Penthouse Executive Club

The NYT has an article today extolling the virtues of this place as top drawer steak house. Maybe I'm a prude female from the Midwest, but would you go to a place like this? http://events.nytimes.com/2007/02/28...l?pagewanted=2
This reminds me of the Rat Pack, Las Vegas in the '50's and Playboy Clubs of old. Sounds to me like a "good ole boy" expense account restaurant for high level execs from out of town. Ladies out there, would you go if invited and you knew where you were headed and what to expect? Men, would you go there? Would you take someone there?

I would maybe go for a bachelorette party, but I would imagine that this would make for some awkward conversation if, say, I brought my parents there on a vist.

Why am I not surprised that they feature a bone-in strip steak?

Scores has been doing this in NY for years - incorporating high end steakhouses in strip clubs. I've been to strip clubs with mixed groups of guys and gals. Never had a steak, though.

Loki, in the article the writer muses that the strippers begin their career at Hooters, graduate to Scores and move up to Robert's Steakhouse.

Ridiculous review, by the Times' worst food critic -- Bruni spends half of his reviews on non-food related junk, spinning metaphor, pun and wordplay into sophomoric reviews.
